Welcome to Tetsworth Memorial Hall

Travellers Site Planning Inquiry – this was due to take place 21st – 24th Nov 2017 in the hall but was postponed at very short notice. The new dates were initially 13th-16th March 2018 but these have been changed again and are currently 14th-17th August 2018

The Planning Inquiry concerning the Car Boot field will take place in the hall on 20th-23rd March 2018 

Tetsworth Memorial Hall was recently re-built in the attractive style of a tiled and wooden Oxfordshire barn.The Main Hall is light, bright and airy with capacity for 100 people seated or 150 standing. There is a ground floor meeting room to accommodate up to 25 people.The Memorial Hall is a wonderful venue for live music, community events, leisure activities, birthday and family parties, wedding receptions, business meetings,  and much much more. Friday 9th February 2018 Crime doesn’t pay – From the Pillory to the Prison Cell

Entertaining talk on crime and punishment by writer/performer and former criminal barrister Ginny Davis
Bar opens at 7pm – talk starts at 8pm – for approx. 1 hour

The talk comprises a short history of punishment issued by the courts from the 16th to the 21st century. ‘Notwithstanding the subject matter, the tone is light-hearted, and I guarantee that everyone in your group will learn something they did not know already – whether it be about the derivation of the expressions “screws” for prison warders, the sentence for impersonating a Chelsea Pensioner or conditions in the prison hulks’.
